Giorgio Maiolo owns and operates Prolok Design & Build Ltd., and has brought landscape dreams to life in the Ottawa-Carleton region since 1984. Consultation

We will meet with you to assess your needs, existing conditions, consult and prepare for the design phase.

Design

The design phase includes preparation of a professional grade CAD drawing package. Including a design for your property and, if included, planting layout. This process is iterative and includes multiple revisions. Price and revision count may vary on much larger properties (i.e. Estate lots, Commercial properties)

Construction

Following client meetings and/or the design phase, we offer fully equipped construction services for the installation of all landscaping interlock and natural stone products, including but not limited to patios, walkways, steps, landings, ramps, driveways, tree and shrub planting, gardens, site grading, outdoor kitchens, fire pits, armour stone, retaining walls, landscape lighting and more. We also work closely with pool, fencing/deck, and irrigation specialists to bring your complete landscape dreams to life. We also specialize in complete refurbishment of existing landscape projects. This can include pressure washing, repairing or replacing damaged pavers, re-levelling and application of polymeric sand. Compaction of final installation.

Are we booking for 2026?

Yes we are currently booking for the 2026 season.

When is the best time to book us in?

Typically earlier in the year to give us time to meet with you, develop a design or coordinate on-site work in our schedule. However we book year-round.

Do you work with other specialist?

Yes, depending on your needs we work very closely with reputable pool installers, deck, fence and wood workers, and irrigation specialists to ensure a complete scope of outdoor landscape needs are covered.

Do you provide construction drawings?

Yes, our in house designer will produce construction ready drawings for your project prior to construction. The need for construction drawings vary depending on the scope of work. Some projects may not need a construction set.

How long have you been in business?

Prolok Design & Build Ltd. has been providing landscape construction and design services to the Ottawa and surrounding area for over 40 years.

Is there someone who monitors construction of our project?

Yes, Giorgio will be present throughout construction, and his son Cameron performs regular site visits to monitor progress and quality control. We will meet with you daily to go over progress updates, review on-site questions and more. The process is intuitive and involved and we will be present throughout.

How long does a landscape project typically take?

Design and consultation will happen quickly, but construction can vary wildly depending on the scope of your project, and uncontrollable factors like poor weather.
